ABOUT US
Quantar Plus LLC provides specialized scientific instrumentation and technical sales representation to universities, national laboratories, government research facilities, and industrial customers throughout the United States.
The company’s roots extend to Quantar Technology, Inc., founded in 1989 by Michael Mellon. For more than three decades, Quantar Technology developed and manufactured highly sensitive particle detection and imaging systems used in scientific research, including applications involving electrons, ions, soft X-rays, and ultraviolet photons.
Quantar Technology also established a long-standing relationship with FAST ComTec GmbH of Germany, supplying precision timing, counting, and data acquisition instrumentation to research customers.
Following the discontinuation of Quantar Technology’s detector manufacturing operations, Charles Hicks assumed responsibility for U.S. sales and customer support of FAST ComTec instrumentation through Quantar Plus LLC.
Today, Quantar Plus is the exclusive U.S. sales representative for FAST ComTec and is actively developing additional partnerships with international manufacturers of complementary scientific and nuclear instrumentation.
With more than 40 years of technical and business experience, Charles Hicks brings an understanding of scientific instrumentation, customer requirements, and the U.S. research market to these relationships.
